"Caravan" A pair of very new wall lamp designs- One-of-a-Kind pieces. The lampshade ( the mosque dome configuration, of which I have been thoroughly obsessed for years) is hand-carved mahogany (ebonized) with a pure white spun filament diffuser on the face and sides. The translucent Lucite diffuser on the bottom veils the light source. The lamp body is made of solid brass with a satin finish. The over-sized, handmade silk tassel is 22" long with antique gold details. Overall length is 34" and 11.25" at it's widest point. Designed, hand made, signed and dated by Art Donovan. The Shiva Mandala. Featured at the Steampunk Art Exhibition at the Museum of the History of Science, The University of Oxford, UK with the center portion duplicating an ancient Persian Astrolabe by Muhammad Ibn Ali Bakr. Solid Mahogany, Solid Brass, Glass, Plaster, Acrylic, Polycarbonate, UV and Incandescent Lamps, Clockworks, Electric Motors and LED Lights.
